New construction of the GDRMA Dradenau
Between August 2022 and August 2023, FRIEDRICH VORWERK SE & Co. KG carried out the construction of the new Dradenau gas pressure regulation and metering plant (GDRMA) on behalf of Gasnetz Hamburg GmbH. The scope of work comprised the complete plant construction, including structural engineering and pipework. The plant is equipped with state-of-the-art control, metering and safety technology and has already been prepared for the future blending of at least 30 per cent hydrogen. Some components are even designed for operation with up to 100 per cent hydrogen.

Replacement construction of the FWS 15, Äußere Lettiner Straße
Construction of the new district heating secondary pipeline 15 in construction phase 1 on Äußere Lettiner Straße, with a total route length of approximately 1,030 m (DN 250/400 and DN 200/315, PN 16). The project was undertaken to replace an existing above-ground pipeline and to connect the Heide-Nord sewage treatment works for the utilisation of process heat. A construction halt in the spring due to nature conservation requirements was taken into account, but the construction project was completed on schedule.

Replacement construction of the FWS 15, WÜST Heide-Nord and Fischerring
Replacement of the FWS 15 district heating secondary pipeline between WÜST Heide-Nord and Fischerring over a pipeline length of approximately 350 m (DN 250/400, DN 200/315, DN 125/225, DP 16). The works included the resizing of the supply pipes, the removal of old above-ground pipes and the concurrent installation of cable protection conduits for information technology systems.

District heating network expansion in the Paulusviertel
Between October 2022 and July 2023, FRIEDRICH VORWERK SE & Co. KG carried out a district heating network extension in the Paulusviertel district of Halle (Saale) to connect an existing isolated network to the inner-city district heating network. The project involved a route approximately 300 metres long running along Willy-Lohmann-Straße, via Rathenauplatz to Maxim-Gorki-Straße, along which composite pipes with a plastic outer casing up to DN 200/315 were laid.

Replacement of District Heating Line 60
The project ‘Replacement of District Heating Pipeline 60, Passendorfer Wiesen’ involved the construction of a new District Heating Pipeline 60 (supply line DN600/900 and return line DN600/800). As part of this construction work, a new bridge was built to cross the Ruder Canal, and the district heating pipeline was connected to the existing pipework.

FRIEDRICH VORWERK completed the turnkey construction of a CO₂ liquefaction plant for processing carbon dioxide from a biogas treatment plant in Kirchgellersen. The plant produces up to 600 kg/h of high-quality, cryogenic liquid CO₂ and meets strict requirements for use in the food industry, including for mineral water.

Kumasi 1 Thermal Power Project
The fuel gas supply plant for the Kumasi 1 Thermal Power Project (K1TPP) draws natural gas from the local grid, processes it, and reliably supplies a 250-MW gas-fired power plant with conditioned fuel gas, thereby strengthening the power supply and grid stability in the Ashanti Region. The scope of work included engineering, fabrication, transportation, and installation of the plant, which features redundant supply lines as well as systems for gas purification, measurement, preheating, and pressure regulation.
